The Somali Minister for Trade and Industry Mohamed Abdi Hayir on Saturday dismissed the Director General at the Ministry Mr. Abdullahi Hayir Duale.
In an official letter from his office, Mr Hayir accused Duale of poor management and corruption.
In the letter, Duale was ordered to hand over his responsibilities to Abdikarim Mohamud Ahmed who was appointed as acting Director.
“Starting from today, February 10, 2018, the post of Director General of the Ministry will be temporarily held by Mr. Abdikarim Mohamed Ahmed,” read the letter.
Mr Hayir who was recently appointed has previously dismissed several other staffs for poor performance.
