The family of NISA agent killed in a confrontation with Uganda Amisom soldiers have declined to bury the body of their kin until those behind his killing are brought to justice.
Ahmed Hussein Abdi was killed on Friday night while on duty at a security checkpoint in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
“We have not made any burial arrangement for the dead body. And we will not bury it until we get the rights of the deceased because he was a government soldier who was on duty,” Omar Gedi Abdi a cousin to the deceased told reporters.
“We appealing to the government that the killers of our brother be brought before the law,” Abdi said.
Mr. Abdi has criticized the government for being aloof over the matter.
“We were not communicated on his death up to now. His killers just left the body there and was collected by his colleagues,” said the worried cousin.
“He was killed unfairly while on duty” added Mr. Abdi.
The AU peacekeeping forces Amisom is yet to issue a statement on the incident.
