An IED explosion hit a government military vehicle killing one security officer in Yaqshid district of the Somali capital Mogadishu.
The Monday roadside bomb happened when the government security officers were on patrol.
Four civilians were injured in the explosion.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack although in the past similar attacks have been attributed to the Alqaeda linked Somali militant group AlShabaab.
