Unknown gunmen on Wednesday shot dead a former Somalia lawmaker at his home in Mogadishu’s Hodan district, Radio Dalsan reports.
According to residents three armed raided into former MP Hussein Ghedi Jimale’s home shooting him several times before fleeing the scene.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack although similar assassinations have in the past been blamed on Somalia militant group Alshabaab.
There have been at least 18 similar killings since the beginning of the month of Ramadhan 20 days ago with the militant group releasing first ever video featuring it’s assassin unit.
