3 Soldiers Injured In Mogadishu Explosion

Three military officers were injured in an IED explosion while on patrol along the Mogadishu-Afgoye road near the Ex Control junction on Sunday morning, Radio Dalsan reports.

Eyewitnesses told Radio Dalsan that a setup IED hit a “technical”, a locally improvised military vehicle mounted with a gun.

The vehicle had stopped to refill its tire pressure just a few metres from the Ex Control junction.

Attacks have been on the rise along the road leading to Afgoye, an agricultural town in the Lower Shabelle region that is less than 30km from the Somali capital Mogadishu.
