A tri-cycle operator was on Wednesday night shot dead by a Somali government soldier in the capital Mogadishu, Radio Dalsan reports.
The incident occurred along the Makkah Mukaramah road and police are yet to make any arrest.
This is the second shooting of a “Bajaaj” operator in a period of four days.
On Monday a UAE trained Somalia National Army soldier shot dead a “Bajaaj” driver identified as Hanad Mohamed Abdi near the Tarabunka junction in Mogadishu.
No arrest was made after the incident.
“We have become a target of the same soldiers who are supposed to protect us. We now fear for our life. What is our crime?” Farah Abdi a “Bajaaj” operator told Radio Dalsan.
The Somalia Police recently claimed “Bajaaj’ operators are behind the crime rise in Mogadishu.
