A man identified as a Ugandan national was on Friday shot dead inside the Unicef compound in the Somali capital Mogadishu, Radio Dalsan reports.
A police source confirmed to Radio Dalsan that a former security guard at Unicef shot at the Ugandan before escaping from the compound.
The deceased is said to be a Chef employed by the UAE based contractors SKA International group serving Unicef staff at the agency’s compound near Zoobe junction in Mogadishu.
The suspect according to the police source had recently been fired at the Unicef Mogadishu.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect who escaped following the shooting.
