Hassan Adan Isaq was found guilty of being a member of the Alqaeda linked Somali militant group Alshabaab, head of assassinations in Banaadir region and mastermind of the October 14 bombing.

Isaq was also found guilty of driving the second vehicle that exploded at Danwadaag road.

Abdullahi Ibrahim Absuge who is on the run was sentenced to life in jail for being a member of Alshabaab, buying vehicles used in explosions and owner of the truck that exploded at Zoobe junction on October 14 and the Nissan that exploded at the Beerta market in Mogadishu’s Waberi district on November 26, 2016.

Abdiweli Ahmed Diriye was sentenced to three years in jail for a member of Alshabaab and releasing the truck that exploded at Zoobe junction from a police checkpoint as a guarantor.

The court has set free Mohamud Hassan Roble and Abdul Abdi Warsame Ali for lack of evidence against them.
