Somali leaders’ national consultation forum has officially kicked off in the capital Mogadishu.
The President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has opened what will be the final forum in the Villa Somalia on Tuesday.
Leaders from regional states in the country have attended the meeting.
“This is the final meeting before the elections, we expect to discuss key issues including elections and security,” The President said.
Apart from the regional states leaders also the prime minister, his deputy and the speaker of national assembly are in attendance in the significance meeting and other high level guests.
More than 35 candidates have declared interest in the upcoming presidential elections in Somalia on October 30th.
