The Somali National Independent Elections Commission on Saturday postponed a Mogadishu parliamentary by-election after chaos erupted.
Reports say that one of the contestants tried to make a speech to the voting delegation and this has led to a confrontation among the members.
20 members of the delegation were later moved out of the voting centre.
The electoral boss Mrs Halima Ismail announced the postponement of the election saying the date will be announced later.
Abdirahman Ahmed and Fataax Saciid Hassan were to face each other in the election.
The seat was left vacant after the holder, Sa’id Hassan Gedi died.
