Somali citizens across the globe believe Kenya has no case to argue at the International Court of Justice on Monday over disputed Indian Ocean maritime border.
Lawyers from the two neighbouring states will present their case to the court from Monday to Friday next week.
Somali citizens who are organizing demonstrations in Europe and America against the Nairobi claim of Somali territory believe there is lack of trust by Kenyan authorities on the ICJ thus objecting to the court hearing the case, which it considers to have been instituted in violation of a 2009 agreement between Kenya and Somalia on the subject.
Kenya is working hard to make the case fail because if successful it will also impact on the exploration contracts that were awarded by Kenya to American, Italian and French petroleum companies between 2010 and 2012
Somalia instituted proceedings on August 28, 2014 asserting that Kenya wrongly claims a triangle of water of more than 100,000 square kilometres.
