South West Reconciliation Conference will officially open in Baidoa, days after the tension between the two sides intensified.
Thr conference which will also be attended by the Head of the state Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will also be attended by senior government dignitaries among others
An introductory delegation from Villa Somalia arrived in Baidoa where they were received by SouthWest politicians.
The purpose of this conference is to reach an agreement between the administration of the South West and the opposing politicians, as a result of the one-year extension of President Lafta-garen.
The security of the city has been beefed up and the venue where the guests are accommodated are being guarded by the Ethiopian troops who are part of the ATMIS operation.
The issues that are expected to be resolved at the meeting include the refusal of the South West opposition to go to Baidoa city and the resolution of the recent clashes in Baidoa which is still ongoing.
