Kenyan government has extradited a wanted war lord by Somali government to Mogadishu on Monday.
Reliable sources have confirmed to Radio Dalsan that Abdi Nuure Siyaad AKA “Cabdi Waal”, was arrested in Nairobi and flown to Mogadishu on Monday morning by Kenyan security agencies.
Abdi Waal is wanted by Somali government for his involvement in a confrontation with Somali security forces in Mogadishu on August 2014.
Scores of people died including his loyal militia and some of Somali security personnel when attempts to hand over illegal arms in his position peacefully failed.
Abdi Waal who is currently member of Sufi armed religious group Ahlu Suna escaped the capital to central part of the country before coming to Nairobi.
Kenya and Somalia cooperate on security issues mainly on fight against armed group Alshabaab which has threatened the security of two states.
