A car
bomb has killed at least 30 people and injured another 40, when it exploded just in front of Mogadishu seaport in the Somali capital, police and witnesses have said.
Radio Dalsan reporters Farhia Mohamed and Abdullahi Adani says posters are among the injures.
Witnesses saw several bodies at the scene of the blast, near the seaport in Mogadishu’s on Sunday morning.
Medical sources told the Radio Dalsan the death toll could be as high as 30.
Al shabaab claimed responsibility for the Sunday’s attack near Mogadishu seaport in a statement distributed through social media network.
Mogadishu’s seaport is run by Albayrak, a Turkish company that manage the operations of the seaport, and t is unclear if any of the Turkish nationals injured in the attack.
Somalia is still seeks to rebuild after more than two decades of conflict and chaos.

It is holding a vote at polling centres across the country, over several weeks, for a new parliament.
Some 14,000 people representing Somalia’s federal states have been chosen to pick the 275 legislators. Those members of parliament will choose a new president.
