One AMISOM Soldier was killed and 15 others were wounded when two grenades exploded inside their inside base in Mogadishu Huruwa district.
Confirming on its tweeter account, AMISOM officials said the wounded soldiers are being treated at AMISOM military hospital in capital Mogadishu are in stable condition.
Reports say the grenades which was carried by the soldiers accidently exploded and killed one of them.
African Union troops have several bases in Mogadishu and they have experienced hit and runs attacks from armed group Al Shabaab since pushed out of the capital years ago.
