The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has welcomed the interim Jubaland parliament that was recently established in the port city of Kismayo.
“I support the move to establish the interim parliament in Jubaland regional state administration, this significant in the implementation of the federal constitution in our country,” he said.
President Mohamud acknowledged the challenges faced during the implementation of the process in line with country’s constitution but said the most important is getting solution to move forward.
“Federal government is ready to closely work with regional state administration of Jubaland to solve challenges that came about the implementation of the constitution mainly on the parliament,” President said.
Hassan Sheikh Mohamud appealed to the Somali people to take part in the implementation of the federal constitution and maintenance of peace and order in the country.
