Reports from Mudug region in Central Somalia indicate that at least one person has been confirmed dead and two wounded in the renewed clan fighting which broke out in that region.
The tribal clashes flared up at one area in Mudug region after two rival clan militia fighters exchanged gunfire, leading to the death of a civilian and wounding two others.
Those wounded in the fighting were transported to a nearby hospital in El-la-Helay for medical treatment, according to local residents who spoke to Radio Shabelle by phone.
