As the current political quagmire throws the country into a confusion in what many assume is a wrangle between the Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire and Speaker Mohamed Osman Jawari it is now emerging that South West State President Shariff Hassan Adan may have been part of the brains behind the failed motion of no confidence against Speaker.
Adan who in the past years has proven to be a kingmaker in Somalia politics is said to have left Baidoa the administrative capital of South West State to pitch camp in Mogadishu where he has had a series of secret meetings with Mps.
South West State is set to elect its next president in December 2018 and among the top politician that may give Adan a run for his money is Jawari.
A South West MP has affirmed to Radio Dalsan that Adan may be behind the machinations of Jawari´s trouble in a move to finish him politically.
Jawari and Adan have been political foes since 2012. Adan had in the last two election eyed to be the Digil -Mirifle´s first President in Somalia´s history but lost both times automatically after Jawari won the Speaker position accrding to the 4.5 arrangement.
Jawari also believes that Adan is not capable of leading the Digil and Mirifle politics .
Adan is said to have joined hands with Prime Minister Khaire with the aim of ousting the veteran speaker in a joint venture of convenience.
This week motion of no confidence against the Speaker failed to proceed in Parliament after it lacked numbers. Pro Khaire Mps accuse jawari of being an impediment of Parliament proceedings.
