The President of Somali regional state of Galmudug underwent a successful heart surgery in India and is now back in Somalia.
Somali members of Parliament, Ministers and the Prime Minister, warmly welcomed Mr Abdikarim Hussein Guled back into the country after he went through a successful heart operation in India.
President Abdikarim Guled had travelled to India capital, New Delhi last week after he developed heart related complications.
Mr Guled has been out of the country for the last 3 weeks, and today he joined the National Consultative Forum after which he will be travelling to Adado the current base of the Galmudug state.
Every year, thousands of Somalis seek medical attention in India after being referred by local hospitals due to lack of specialists and proper facilities in Somalia.
