An IED explosion tore through a convoy of Kenyan troops near Dhobley in Somalia’s Jubbaland regional state.
An official of the Gedo province confirmed to Radio Dalsan of the incident putting the death toll at 10.
He said several KDF soldiers were injured.
The Alqaeda linked Somali militant group Alshabaab has claimed responsibility for the Sunday attack.
Alshabaaab through its affiliate websites claimed 15 KDF troops were killed in the explosion.
