The Al Qaeda-linked Al Shabaab says it has killed four AMISOM soldier after attack by used an explosions in Bulamareer village in lower Shabelle region of southern Somalia, residents revealed.
Militant media outlets reported that the attack occurred early on Thursday.
“ Amisom military convoy travelling in the village before attack, we have heard armed men belonging to Al shabaab who were carrying out the hit and run attack†a man asked not to be named says.
No comment from AMISOM troops and officials about the causalities of the attack.
AMISOM is made up of 22,000 peacekeepers from Uganda, Burundi, Kenya, Ethiopia and Djibouti who are deployed in the horn of African since 2007 to support the weak government in Mogadishu in the fight against Al Shabaab militants.
