Somalia’s Puntland president Abdiwali Mohamed Ali Gaas on Sunday launched a two day conference on region’s Education review policy and the meeting was held to address prevailing education challenges and setting up new policies.
Regional and international level delegations have been in attendee at Puntland Development Research Center hall in the capital Garowe . In his opening remarks, Puntland President Abdiwali Mohamed Ali Gaas said that national curriculum conference was held to pass years of impedes in the education sector.
“The government is scheduling to enlarge Education’s budget and to hire nearly 200 new teachers in order to boost schooling guidance “President Gaas said.
Somalia Education minister Khadro Bashir Ali said that Somali government is working to maintain its close relations with the Puntland state in the education sector, adding that new policy on Somali curriculum is about to be revealed.
Puntland Education minister Ali Haji Warsame has asked UN and EU representatives to support the administration’s priorities on Female Education.
