A meeting between the state president and the international community took take place in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya on Monday.
President Saeed Deni together with ministers and other officials from Puntland met with representatives of the international community in Nairobi.
According to reports, the meeting between the two sides discussed Puntland’s quota for the projects and the funds provided by international countries to Somalia.
The Puntland government wants international donors to directly allocate funds for projects and funds on behalf of Somalia.
This issue is behind the political conflict between President Deni and Villa Somalia which caused the allocation of some projects to be blocked in Puntland.
In other news, it was reported that the international community’s representatives had urged President Deni to participate the National Reconciliation Conference, which is scheduled to take place in the city of Baidoa.
The representatives stated that it was essential for Puntland to participate in the conference, which aims to promote reconciliation and unity among the various regions of Somalia.
