Somali government soldiers on Tuesday night shot and injured a top government official in the capital Mogadishu.
Mr Abdullahi Hirey a Director of Relations in the Ministry of Sports was shot just outside the Peace Garden at a SNA checkpoint.
He was rushed to the Digfer hospital.
It is not yet clear why he was shot by the soldiers.
