Suspected Al Shabaab leaflets warning attacks on schools were circulated in western Kenya.
According to security officials in Elgeyo Marakwet County in Rift Valley province, the leaflets indicate message of attacks in the four primary schools in the area.
Security officials said the security have been beefed up in the area following the message.
They added that investigation has been launched to establish the source of the leaflets.
Armed group Al Shabaab has threatened to carry more bloody attacks in Kenyan cities after Garissa University attack in which more than 15o students were killed early last month.
Kenya has suffered spate of attacks since it sent its troops inside Somalia in October 2011 to fight armed group Al Shabaab which it says has threatened its national security and main economic activity tourism.
