Veteran Somali journalist Mohamed Abshir Walde has passed away this evening in Nairobi the capital city of Kenya .
Abshir Walde worked in both the print and broadcast media.He was well-known journalist he was the director of Radio Mogadishu and Hargeisa early 1960s
Several Somali leaders across various political spectrums have sent their condolences to the family and friends of the late Journalist.
Somali Independent Media Houses Association (SIMHA) and National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) have also sent their condolences to the entire media Somali fraternity and family left behind by veteran Journalist.
Mohamed Abshir Walde who started his Journalism career in 1960s , he was director of Radio Mogadishu and Hargeisa also has worked in various international media including BBC.
