Somali Presidential candidate has blamed the government for destroying his outdoor campaign posters.
Abdirahman Abdishakur who served as planning minister in the previous transitional government has called the move as uncalled for and against election rules.
“Both the president and the PM have declared interest so they should not deny anyone else to join the race.” He said.
“We later found out that government was behind the taking down of my posters,” he added.
Abdishakur who was once senior advisor to UN special office to Somalia has said his team have launched complaints to the election committee.
“We submitted complaints to the election committee for the violations,” he said.
He urged the government to respect opposition candidates in the country.
