Somalis have taken to the social media to strongly condemn former Kenyan Prime Minister Comments to recognize self declared state but not internationally recognize northern Somali autonomous state of Somaliland.

Speaking in Chatham House Africa on democratic development in the continent, Raila odinga stated his personal support for the recognition of Somaliland as independent state.
“I personally strongly support the recognition of Somaliland as independent state,” he said.
Somali embassy in Kenya responded to Raila comments saying it was irresponsible and damaging statement coming from former Kenyan government official but added that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the federal republic of Somalia as unbreakable.
