At least 10 people were on Wednesday killed in fierce fighting between Alshabaab militants and clan militia backed by government soldiers in Caad about 50km Northeast of Harardhere town in the Mudug region central Somalia.
The Alqaeda affiliated group attacked the village after the local clan declined to have their boys forcefully recruited as militants.
AlShabaab claimed it killed 15 clan militia and soldiers in the fighting.
A local official however puts the number of dead at 10 from both sides.
