Turkey pledges to refurbish Somali parliamentary building

The Republic of Turkey has pledged to renovate Somali National assembly building into world class national assembly.

Speaking in the capital Mogadishu during his visit to open Turkish embassy in Somalia, President Reccip Tayyip Erdogan has said already plans are ongoing to start the construction of Somali National assembly building.

Erdogan added that Turkish international development cooperation TIKA will start the project as soon as possible and will be completed within the next two years.

President Erdogan also announced construction of military academy to train Somali army, technical training college for young Somalis, renovation of another 10 KM road in Mogadishu among other ten new bussiness agreements between his country and Somalia.

The visiting Turkish President also promised to send aid ships to help the victims of drought in Somaliland and Puntland regions of Somalia during the holy month of Ramadan.
