The President of the federal republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has said new Nigerian President General Mohamadu Buhari will visit Somalia.
Sheikh Mohamud was among more than 50 heads of state who attended General Buhari inauguration on Friday in Abuja.
The two leaders who meet after the event have discussed how to strengthen diplomatic relations between the two states.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who spoke to the media after the meeting has said they discussed with new Nigerian President on challenges facing two countries from Al Shabaab and Boko Haram and possible cooperation.
He added that General Mohammadu Buhari will visit the country to improve the relations between the two African states.
Nigerian police are part of AMISOM police in Somalia that provide training and capacity building for Somali police force.
