Mahad Salad who is a member of parliament in Somalia is accused of inciting clashes between two pastoralist communities who live in the outskirts of Balanbale district in Galgadud region.
Balanbale District Commissioner Jama Hayle Mohamed told Radio Dalsan that Hon. Salad and other politicians in Mogadishu are fueling the clashes.
“Two communities in the area have clashed today and we are told that Mahad Mohamed Salad who is an MP and a former minister and other politicians in Mogadishu are against peace and fueling the clashes,” said the district commissioner.
Dalsan’s effort to get a response from the MP was futile as he declined to answer the call.
