Mogadishu 4th Book Fair Registers Highest Number Of Participants

The fourth Mogadishu Book Fair was held in the Somali capital attracting a larger number of participants compared to last year, Radio Dalsan reports.

Many people including writers, honorable guests and other high profile figures from across Somalia and abroad attended the bookfair which will last for three days.

First panel discussion focused on parents and children’s reading . The second panel focused on Confluence of Literature & Education commences now.

“We‘ve long been associated with bombings, pirates & famine. In this week again Somalia will show a different image to the world as we welcome the 4th annual book festival where we welcome local and foreign authors, poets. Let the world know that we chose books over bullets” Abdifatah Ali Hassan said.
