Hundreds are feared dead after a migrant boat capsized in the Mediterranean Sea off the Libyan coast, according to a report in the Times of Malta‘s website.
The newspaper said on Sunday that 28 people were rescued but hundreds were feared dead after the boat, which was carrying as many as 700 migrants, capsized overnight.
The incident happened in an area just off Libyan waters, 120 miles south of Lampedusa island, the report said.
