The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and Federal Government of Somalia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation on Puntland state police training and countering terrorism.
The Memorandum of Understanding will provide up to $1 million to expand INL’s current police and counter terrorism assistance programs in Somalia to benefit Puntland regional State police.
The program is part of United States INL’s continued support to mutually agreed-upon regional policing and counter terrorism efforts.
