Armed group Alshabaab assault on Somali military base near the capital Mogadishu has resulted more than ten Somali National Army officers.
Suicide car bomber detonated his explosives before fighters entered Somali NationaL Army military base in Lanta Buro about 50 kilometers south of the capital Mogadishu.
Somali military officials who spoke to Reuters News Agency have also confirmed the death of 12 Alshabaab militants during the raid.
The attack comes 48 hours after Somali National Army offensive on key Alshabaab facility resulted scores of death.
The army seized cache of weapons and explosive devices used to carry out terror attacks in the capital Mogadishu during the operation on Saturday at Alshabaab base in Goobaanle in Lower Shabelle region.
Alshabaab carried out similar deadly attacks on African Union Peace Keeping troops for the past months resulting scores of deaths that questioned military tactics of the AMISOM.
