Somalia receives medicines from Serbia

The Government of Serbia on Friday handed over 11 tons of medicines, and others supply to the National Disaster Management Agency.

Several officials including Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) chief Mohamud Moalin Abdulle and Abdirahman Mohamed lower house MP attended the handover ceremony.

This donation will be given to the people affected by the drought, according to Mohamud who thanked the people and the government of Serbia for their support for Somalia.

“This aid is a precursor to another aid that the Republic of Serbia intends to help Somalia. Somalia and Serbia have deep ties,” he added while speaking at the occasion.
