Somalia receives airspace control equipment after 25 years

Federal government of Somalia will receive the airspace control equipment from Nairobi on Monday.

The equipment which are already in Mogadishu will be handed over to ministry of aviation and transport in a ceremony on Monday.

Somalia ambassador to Kenya Jamal Mohamed who delivered the equipment to his government said the move is part of step to transfer Somali airspace control from neighbouring Kenya.

UN has been manning Somali airspace from Kenyan capital Nairobi Since the collapse of the central government in early 1990s..
