Somali President orders establishment of disable fund box

The President of the federal republic of Somalia has ordered the establishment of trust fund to help disable community in the recuperating state.

Speaking during world larbour day event in Mogadishu President Muhaamud ordered ministry of larbour and housing to establish the box for the nationals to contribute to help in the disabled people in the country.

“The ministry of larbour and housing  should set up the box in order for our local and Diaspora community to contribute to their fellow physically challenge nationals, he said.

The disable community in Somalia face wide range of challenges especially discrimination in education, job market among others.

Activist Abdi Farah recently launched “open the door” campaign to sensitize the community about the needs of the disable society in the war torn state.
