Somali parliament cancels session after explosive device found

The Federal government of Somalia national assembly session has been cancelled after explosive materials were found around the parliamentary building on Saturday.

According to security sources the members were advised to stop the proceeding for security purpose.

Somali security agencies led by senior officials have reached the scene to ensure the safety of the members.

The national assembly was set to debate a motion of no confidence against recently established Jubaland regional state parliament.

More than ten people were killed on May last year during Al Shabaab assault on the parliament building.
