Politician Abdishakur Out Of Somalia After Govt Lifts Travel Ban

The Somalia Federal Government has lift a travel ban imposed upon former Minister and Presidential candidate Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame.

Warsame on Saturday travelled to neighbouring Kenya capital Nairobi ending a four month travel ban.

On his official Facebook account Warsame posted a photo purporting to show he was at an Airport lounge awaiting to travel out of the country.

With the government blocking from giving lectures or addressing political meetings Warsame has been vocal on his social media forums.

The Somalia Court of Appeal on January 3rd issued a travel ban on the Wadajir Party leader as a case in which the government accused him of collaborating with a foreign country to destabilize the Farmaajo administration went on.

The outspoken politician was arrested was arrested on December 18 at his home as he chaired a party meeting.

Five of his guards were killed in the raid by the Somali intelligence agency NISA.
