Mogadishu Peace And Development Conference Postponed

The governor of Banadir region who is also the mayor of Mogadishu Thabit Abdi Mohamed today said that the Mogadishu Peace and Development Conference that was scheduled to take off tomorrow is postponed.

According to the mayor, the conference which he announced on December 27, 2017, was postponed due to ‘technical issues’ but he didn’t give further details on exactly what lead to the postponement.

Thabit said he will soon announce the next date for the conference.

Finally, he ordered the security officials to track down the killers of two youth who were last night killed in Mogadishu’s Hamarweyne and bring the criminals to book.
