Teams allied to contenders Farah Sheikh and Abdiweli Mudey have met Wednesday at the Aljazeera Hotel ahead of Thursday’s election to decide who will deputise Speaker Mohamed Osman Jawari
The results of the election is higy anticipated as analysts see it as an indicator on what the fate of President Hassan Sheikh will be in the presidential election set for later this month.

Mohamud is backing Farah Sheikh.
Analysts predict Sheikh will face a tough competition from Mudey and may likely loose to him as the game will be part again a proxy between Sharif Hassan ,Prime Minister Omar Sharmake and other presidential candidates against Mohamud .
A source close to The both team told Radio Dalsan that the politician sensing defeat dished out $5000 to each MP to convince them to vote him as the new Deputy Speaker
