The Commander of the Somali National Army’s Land Forces, Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar, on Monday paid an official visit to the headquarters of the 21st Division, located in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug State.
During his visit, Brig. Gen. Sahal received a detailed briefing on the current security situation and the ongoing military operations against terrorist groups in the region.
Commanders on the ground updated him on strategic plans and progress made in efforts to stabilize the area and eliminate threats posed by Al-Shabaab and other extremist elements.
The visit underscores the commitment of the Somali National Army’s leadership to directly oversee operations and support frontline troops in their mission to restore peace and security across the country.
