Somali military court executes two for killing government official

Somali military court has executed two Al Shabaab members linked to the killing of government officials.

Shueb Ibrahim and Farah Ali was executed by firing squad in Mogadishu on Wednesday.

The court said the two found guilty for the involvement of killing government officials including Member of Parliament and popular Somali singer Sado Ali.

The court has carried out several executions on Al Shabaab members for assassinations before.

Human rights groups have previously criticized the government on the behaviors of the military court.
