President Mohamud Meets With Foreign Envoys In Mogadishu

Somalia’s President Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has held talks with the representatives of the International Community in Mogadishu on Wednesday.

Among those the head of the state met is the Ambassadors of the United States of America, United Kingdom, Italy, Ethiopia, Special Representatives of the United Nations, European Union and African Union.

According to the office of the president Villa Somalia, the press briefed the envoys on the successes reached and the areas liberated from the Al-Shabab terrorists.

” H.E.President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a meeting with representatives of the International Partners. They discussed the offensive against terrorism and the need to strengthen partnerships further in order to realize Somalia’s vision of becoming a terror-free nation.” Villa Somalia said.

The President pointed on the fact that the brave soldiers with the help of the locals liberated many areas including, Lower Shabelle regions, Hiiraan and Galgadud, which indicates that the government wants to eradicate the terrorists that have hindered the development of the government and the people.

President Hassan said that the people and the government are united against the Khawarij Al-Shabab terrorists, and asked the International Community to support Somalia’s quest to eradicate the terrorists once and for all.

The International Community’s Representatives commended the efforts of Somalia on the operations to eliminate the militants, and said that they will support Somalia, particularly on the emergency needed by the people in the regions liberated.
