Wounded Central hotel attack victims airlifted to UAE

13 wounded Somali citizens who survived last month Al Shabaab claimed central hotel attack in Mogadishu have been airlifted to UAE for further medical attention.

The plane carrying the victims has left Somali capital Mogadishu on Sunday.

Somali government has thanked UAE for the aiding the victims of the attack in which government officials including deputy PM was wounded and two members of parliament were killed.

“We convey our gratitude to our brothers from the UAE for their act of kindness today,” said Somali foreign minister Abdulsalam Omer in his official twitter account.

“We hold a sincere appreciation for the offer to treat the injured of the heinous terrorist attack,” he added.
