The Special Representative of the United States of America for Somalia, James P. McAnulty has extended his best wishes to all Somali people as they join Muslims across the globe to begin to commemorate the holy month of Ramadan.
“As the holy month of Ramadan begins, I wish all the Somali Muslim communities a blessed and joyful Ramadan Kareem,” he said.
“It is a time for thoughtful reflection, fasting and devotion that brings together millions of Somalis in Somalia and around the world to celebrate the principles of peace, justice and equality.” he added.
Ramadan is a special month that provides spiritual nourishment and reinforces appreciation for universal values.
