Turkish President receives new Somali ambassador

Turkish President Reccip Tayyip Erdogan has received the diplomatic credentials from new Somali ambassador Abdullahi Mohamed Abdisalam on Tuesday.

Ambassador Abdullahi who served as ambassador to United Kingdom will replace Mohamed Sheikh Mursal who served in Ankara for three years.

New Ambassador who was also former Somali Intelligence chief presented his credentials to President Erdogan in Ankara palace.

The two briefly discussed the strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Turkey has close diplomatic relations and with Somalia since the visit of Prime Minister Erdogan now President in August 2011.

Turkey has implemented key development and humanitarian projects in Somalia.
