Two Somali government soldiers have on Monday night died in Afgoi district some 30km west of the capital Mogadishu.
The death of the two soldiers come after a grenade was hurled at the while they were on security operation in some sections of the district.
The deputy security officer in Afgoi district spoke to the press shortly after the incident occurred.
“When we heard the explosion and some gunshots we immediately went to the very direction and when we reached at the scene where the incident occurred we found two dead soldiers lying on the ground and another who has sustained injuries” said the deputy security commissioner of Afgoi district.
Despite the Somali government soldiers are doing frequent security operations yet the fighters of Alshabab faction carry out routine attacks.
